JONATHAN MERES

After leaving school, Jonathan Meres joined the merchant navy –  the closest he’s ever had to a proper job.   He spent seven years there, sailing around the world and having adventures.  After leaving the navy, he drove an ice cream van for a bit and worked in an ice cream parlour.  One day he auditioned for a play and, much to his suprise, got the part.  After that he got a job with a children’s theatre company touring round schools and theatres for a couple of years, before trying stand-up comedy and writing.  His hobbies include moaning, doing things, playing things, watching things and embroidery.
